Description
I tell no lie when one night I stood outside and an owl landed on the top of my head. Where it preceeded to fly into my house and make a temporary home there until the rspca came to collect it. We named her Guinevere. OHH the countryside. We could of kept her, but its not the most practical of things to own an owl. I miss her

It's not just my park. Rosellas (rainbow lorikeets) like my street, there's almost always a small flock of them nearby.
I think it's because of the bottle brushes that are everywhere; they love the things. Not exactly flighty, either. You can get within a few feet of them before they care that you're there.
I also know most of the possums in the area. Not the crazy american things, the normal, australian kind.
I hung out with one in particular for a little while one night, just sitting there with it next to me. It was about to climb up my arm, not even remotely scared of me, when a dog barked and it took off up a tree instead. ^>^
